Do you know a good par when you see one? Well I think I’ve found one, and of all people, Wiley’s responsible. If you watch him on UStream then you’ll have seen him getting hyped about some situation with a taxi driver or company and this is one of them actually in action.
Quote of the day – “Racists as well!… slightly”
Now I fall for basically anything related to the journey that Hip Hop’s taken over the years. Having listened to as much as I possibly could have in my life, it’s fun to see how people try to condense the 30-year recorded history of it into short segments. However, it seems that a surprising line-up of people have just managed it – Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake and The Roots. While they may not seem like the best combination to do such a thing, just watch what they do as they trace back to “Rapper’s Delight” and go right through to “N.Y. State of Mind”. The whiteness of the audience at the end is one of the most funny things about the whole set.

I will let their movement speak…. that is all…
Blackberry are seriously making a come back! A while ago I gave a quick update on hearing about the new BlackBerry Smart phone, the ‘Torch.’ A couple of months later BlackBerry have now advertised the release of a gadget that looks highly similar to the iPad….. So it seems as though BlackBerry are holding strong in the smartphone industry. I actually like the look of this. The price is still yet to be confirmed, the Playbook will be commercially available early 2011. A late Christmas present for some I guess. I’m not too sure about the name ‘Playbook’ though. It sounds quite young and almost like a games console, let’s see how BlackBerry do.
While the ’48 Hours With…’ series tends to deal with American artists, finally they’ve taken things over to the UK this time. In the past Rick Ross, Nas & Damian Marley and Fabolous have been included in the series and now Pro Green can be added to the list. This is the first part of the 48 hours with him as his “Alive Til I’m Dead” record is about to drop.
Commercially-friendly R&B in the UK seems to be on the up again. It’s been rather ignored over the past few years, but it seems that it’s finally back now that RD (Ruff Diamondz – a trio consisting of Troy, Martika and Chronz) have built up their hype and dropped this video. “Do It Like Me” comes from their recently-released self-entitled mixtape and samples dead prez’ monster hit “Hip Hop”. This track’s due to be released in November.
Will Smith and his family sit down with Oprah and have an insightful conversation, covering various topics.
This family is truely inspirational, each of them are gifted in their own right. If you want to be inspired, look no further. Make sure you watch all 3 parts and enjoy.
A smart, creative little product.
If you keep up with the Youneek Clothing blog as often as we think you should, then you should already know where to catch Usher when he heads our way next year. Keeping this in mind, we’re got a dance video based around his “There Goes My Baby” song, performed by Scotty Nguyen and Tracy Shibata.
