This weekend has been an eventful one for sure!
I caught up with some university friends, we went to an amazing Brazilian restaurant at the O2 called ‘Rodizio.’ Although it is quite expensive, it is worth the money as it a buffet all you can eat. You can choose from a BBQ meat menu, or the vegetarian menu…. clearly I opted in for the meat! They bring meat over to you when your green card is turned up, meaning you want more food basically. Well… I have never consumed so much meat in one go in my life!! Chicken, pork, beef, lamb.. they even offered us chicken heart… I gave it a miss though…
If you are around London and you want to try Brazilian food, definitely check it out.
As most of you know I am also a dancer. This weekend I also put together a dance project for an amazing UK artist who goes by the name of Bluey Robinson. He is dope, if you don’t know about him, get into him… now!
Here’s the video which I choreographed.
You Got Served 2… really… when… I’m not sure about this…
I am actually feeling this track and video. Despite the hype over Chris Brown he is still coming back strong to deliver. I’m not too sure about the new blonde hair though that also matches Keri’s in the video lol!
So I am walking through Carnaby St. on my way to work…. and this is what I see. A little DJ man! I found this so funny! It’s the best street act I have seen! He is fully going in with the dance.
Ok Miss Spears is back…. After the numerous amounts of 3 second video previews, the build up hype before the video, it is now released…. I’m not sure how I feel about this, kind of expected more. The track itself isn’t great, video is cool, I guess. The breakdown is dope though! What you think?
Ok so after much preparation, Urban Platform took place over the weekend at Brick Lane’s Vibe Bar!
This was seriously a great event to kick start the beginning of the year, bringing positivity, creativity and good vibes to the table…. literally! Despite having a slightly slow start to the event, it soon kicked off with a good turnout, good sales and a buzzing atmosphere. Alongside some amazing brands where a range of talented artists, dancers and singers.
The whole day itself was a great experience, and I am glad I was able to take part in this event, Definitely a stepping stone for Youneek. i had the privilege to catch up with the ‘faces behind the brands’ such as SpectrumLDN. These guys are cool! It’s good to see a group of guys doing their thing, not just in clothing but a range of media. SoapBox, these guys travelled down hardcore from Birmingham! Their stuff is on point, a nice collection, with good quality and approach. It’s always good to catch up with people who you have spoken to via Twitter or Facebook but never actually met them.
Shout out to everyone who took part in the event! Everyone is doing their thing! Shout out to Dat Tag and Go Chains/ Go Realler – Dat GoRealler for putting on a dope event! I’m looking forward to part 2!
Keep it Youneek people!
Shout out to Melo NS on photography!
Jessie J!! First we had Do It Like A Dude, and now Jessie J has dropped the latest video for one of her tracks ‘Price Tag.’ I really like this track, something much more chilled in comparison, and it’s featuring B.O.B! Definitely a nice feature, especially after hearing the acoustic version of this track a while ago! I’m looking forward to her album!!! Jessie J is gonna take over!!
These kids are killing!! It’s so good to see talented young ones dancing, they are the future! Have a look and let me know what you think!
